Integration Challenges
Refer to an event you consider a milestone for your development in BMS United.
Two years after merging, I took the lead to change our official company identity from IBS into BMS United Bunkers (Asia) Limited, which required changing the company logo in the workplace, communicating the change to our partners, register the new company name with local authorities and banks, etc. It was a very good experience and I learned a lot from working in a field in which I had not before.
What was your biggest challenge on the job and how did you overcome it?
Previously I used to work with the colleagues from the back office of our holding company, which was more clear-cut and did not involve in-depth knowledge of the workings of the company. After merging, I had to learn more about the management and operation, including clients, partners and other parties that I came in contact with. The challenge allowed me to grow, and the new team at BMS was very helpful during this transition.
What’s the most exciting thing about working at BMS United?
Merging with BMS increased our loyalty to the company and the feeling of belonging to a large family.
